Château Lange is a century-old estate located in the historic territory of Sauternes.
It is in Bommes that our family, Lacombe Torras, chose to write its own story, while honoring the heritage and expertise of previous generations.
At Château Lange, each plot is cultivated with respect for traditional methods and in accordance with the commitments of High Environmental Value certification (HVE Level 4). ![]()
The vineyards of Château Lange extend across the communes of Bommes and Preignac.
Here, at the confluence of the Ciron and the Garonne rivers, the magic of Sauternes is born. At dawn,
morning mists envelop the vines; in the afternoon, the sun gently dries the
berries. This natural phenomenon encourages the development of Botrytis cinerea, noble rot,
which concentrates aromas and gives the wine its unique complexity.
The terroir of our vineyards is gravelly-sandy, promoting water drainage and allowing roots to access the nutrients needed to grow and withstand drought.
The result of this terroir is a mellow wine with fruity and lively aromas, combining finesse and elegance.
Harvesting is done by hand, in successive passes, selecting only
the grapes that have reached optimal concentration. This meticulous, artisanal work
gives each bottle a distinctive character.
In the cellar, the wine is aged in French oak barrels to bring the elegance,
finesse, and balance that Château Lange seeks.
Sauternes has always accompanied our celebrations and family moments. Why reserve it only for special occasions?
Every moment deserves to be celebrated with Château Lange.
Enjoy it traditionally or in a cocktail to shake up our habits.
Let’s be rebellious. Let’s be Sauternes!
